This piece is one of a number of set designs I have created here at DJCAD. I have a huge interest in theatre art and always enjoy exploring new techniques and processes that I can incorporate in my final pieces. This piece is one I am particularly proud of that I created for Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol to be set in the Victoria Palace Theatre in London. I managed to incorporate ceramics, 3D printing, laser cutting and a variety of other techniques in to the production stages and envisioned means of altering the ambiance for different scenes. The variation photographed here was intended for the introduction of Scrooge's former business partner, Marley, who appears in chains.
