Fine Art

Dulcie McConville

My practice reflects my interest in ancient sacred sites and zen practices. Using paint and collage, shapes are mindfully arranged into abstract scenes. These images are then translated into objects. Combining traditional and contemporary sculptural processes to achieve a sense of dualism. The different components are assembled to create an environment devoted to quiet contemplation. Made to offer a serene experience, an escape from the fast-paced nature of modern existence.
