Product Design

Rosie Malyn

My ambition is to design iconic products. The works of Sir Alec Issigonis and Naoto Fukasawa inspire me. As Fukasawa states, “the best designs are those that dissolve into behaviour.” I apply this philosophy into my design process. In my Honours Project I intend the outcome to encourage children to modify their behaviours learning through play as children learn best in an environment, which allows them to explore, discover, and play. My projects are focussed on human centered and ethical design. As a designer I am passionate about the relationship between materials and technology to improve and enhance the play experience.
