Interior Environmental Design

Madeline Ellis

At one given point there were as many as fifty multi-storey housing schemes within the city of Dundee. However, with the decline of 'the multis' came demolition and a displaced community. With the demand for social housing more prominent than ever, I hope to redesign a modern social housing scheme within the boundary wall of the former Dens Road Market. I believe that the inclusion of other amenities is fundamental for the success of the scheme and will be designing a cinema, garden kitchen, allotment space and convenience store within the walls, allowing the wider community to benefit.
