Ingrid is Glamis Castle Archivist and part of her role involves cataloguing the Strathmore family papers to item level on the custom built Glamis database at Dundee University Archives.
A Scottish History graduate from Edinburgh University, Ingrid undertook her Diploma in Archives Studies at University College London. She is a registered member of the Archives and Records Association and has previously worked in local government archives in Orkney, Stirling and Montrose, as well as business archives at GlaxoWellcome Montrose, before undertaking a variety of roles at Dundee University Archives. One of these was Project Archivist for the Wellcome funded ‘Unlocking the Medicine Chest’ project, which involved cataloguing the Tayside Health Board collection and other medical records at Dundee University Archives. She then went on to become Programme Administrator for the Centre for Archive and Information Studies (CAIS), before becoming Glamis Castle Archivist in 2010. She continues her involvement with CAIS, both as a tutor, primarily for the ’Beyond the Internet’ family and local history distance learning courses, and also as a mentor.
