Researching investments in emerging markets and risk management

Dina Bayasanova is a current student in the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy in the University of Dundee, where she conducts research on investments in emerging markets and risk management. She obtained MLitt in Marketing from the University of St Andrews (Scotland) and MSc (Hons) in Project Management from the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas. (Russia). She also holds BSc in Financial Management from Lomonosov Moscow State University.
She had developed key practical skills such as financial analysis, oil and gas market analysis, business development, and project management through her work at Gazprom and Enel. Being a member of SPE Moscow Section since 2008 Dina was an active participant in conferences and in 2010 won an award of the best business project model among young industry professionals. In June 2013 Dina joined Energy Institute and is a member of a Young Professional Network Committee in London.
Since November 2012 Dina is involved in the International Centre for Oil and Environment project. Her research is aiming to examine different levels of the legal and regulatory response to the critical issues of environmental protection and operational safety in the context of offshore petroleum exploration and production – from applicable international instruments to national legislation to industry-wide standards and procedures.
