Appointment of Project Manager - Rose Yuan Wang

Rose recently joined CEPMLP as Project Manager of the Extractives Hub project. She has a PhD degree in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering from Tufts University in the United States. Her PhD work focused on developing computer models to simulate the nutrients and contaminants transport processes in natural water systems.

Out of her interest in international resources policy, she also worked as a research associate at the Centre for International Environment and Resources Policy on topics related to energy efficiency and as a program coordinator for the Water Diplomacy PhD program at Tufts University. She developed several case studies for the transboundary water disputes database at Tufts and facilitated water diplomacy workshops that aims to facilitate capacity building, negotiations and consensus building.

Prior to her PhD, Rose worked for a couple of years at the Singapore Building and Construction Authority as a Senior Development Officer on green building policy and legislation and as a Senior Consultant on the bilateral Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city project. Rose had substantial trainings in computer modelling and data science and is interested in applying data science in natural resources management.
