Aims:

This course has two aims:

  1. to develop a solid understanding of the applicability, and application, of multiple sets of legal norms (domestic/international; public/private) to the extractive industries;
  2. to develop skills for addressing key legal issues facing the extractive industries in the various stages of contracting and investing and the manner in which problems and options can be analysed and addressed.
