January Fry: Lynn Boyle in conversation with Natalie Lafferty

Natalie Lafferty is Head of the new Centre for Technology and Innovation in Learning (CILT) in the LLC and the Lead on elearning for the University. She joined the University 15 years ago working in the Centre for Medical Education, where she developed an interest in elearning and its potential to support distance learning students. Natalie went on to work with the International Virtual Medical School project and has been involved in elearning now for 12 years, more recently as lecturer in elearning in the School of Medicine and lead for technology in learning in CMDN. Her main interests are in the role of technology to support personalising learning and supporting social learning and involving students as co-producers of learning. She is involved in national projects relating to technology-enhanced learning in the health care professions, is on the eLearning Committee of the Association for Medical Education in Europe and co-runs the #ukmeded Twitter chats. Natalie is also a very keen football fan!
