On this page

Hello,

I’m Stephanie Brewer and welcome to our webpage for Science and Engineering students.

I’m the link Careers Adviser for the School of Science & Engineering.  I recommend visiting my learning spaces page on a regular basis to learn more about:

  • Ideas and inspiration of where your degree could lead

  • Information around postgraduate study and research

  • Vacancies, work experience, opportunities and related resources

I’ve been a Careers Adviser for 14 years and it really is a role where you never stop learning! Since completing my postgraduate diploma in Careers Guidance, I’ve worked with students and graduates across many disciplines. The breadth of opportunities available to Science and Engineering students is really exciting right now.

Previously, as a European Business Studies graduate, I’ve held graduate jobs in Healthcare analysis; market research; finance and export – I know that career paths aren’t necessarily linear!  I’ve also lived, worked and studied in 4 different countries as well as London which is like a small country in itself!  These experiences have given me a real insight into graduate opportunities and challenges as well as making a transition to a new career and sector.  In my working life I’ve always worked with a diverse range of people and with colleagues from many different STEM backgrounds.
