VR & AR: View of the Future Join us in this virtual event as we will cover one of the emerging technologies which is currently influencing the technological industry.
In this event will be discussing AR and VR technologies, it's history and development and how and why it is being used within the industry. Robotics & AI: Afternoon Sessions Part 1:
Following the morning presentation, as a lunch and learn takeaway, we’ll ask you to do a little research into a development you’re keen on within robotics and AI, and bring back one interesting fact you find to share ahead of the afternoon activity. You’ll then be working in smaller groups to take part in ‘What Tech Am I?’ A game which will involve you using clues to try and correctly guess some different popular advancements within robotics and AI. The rules will be explained, with points being awarded in conjunction with how quickly you get there!
 
Part 2:
During the third and final session of the day we’ll be separating the group into smaller teams again then presenting them with the following fact:
According to the Select Committee Report on digital skills, economists estimate that 35% of current jobs in the UK could become automated over the next two decades. Then opening the floor for discussion within those groups, looking to stimulate conversation that centres around the ethics relating to how robotics and AI develops. Looking to challenge any preconceived ideas the participants have on the subject.
