At the University of Dundee, we believe that it is important for students to have an opportunity to take part in a wide range of extra-curricular activities. There are many benefits in doing so, one of which is the development of transferrable skills.
Dundee Plus will help you develop skills that employers are looking for, get recognition for these skills and communicate your skills and achievements.
Take a look at the five programmes available within Dundee Plus and get involved.
Are you a UK student who is planning to study abroad, undertake an internship abroad or another activity such as working at a summer camp in the USA or Canada?
Are you a student from out with the UK who is studying at Dundee and in a role such as Student Ambassador, Peer Connector or Club or Society Office Bearer?
If so, Global Plus can help you get recognition for the skills that you have developed while travelling.
Leadership Plus has been designed to help students develop their leadership skills.
The programme runs for a full academic year and is available to students who are undertaking a role which involves an element of leadership such as within a club, society or part time job.
Are you interested in business? Would you like to gain recognition for the skills you develop through business related activities such as business games and part time work, volunteering or internships?
If so, then Business Plus could help you achieve this.
The School Tutoring Programme Plus (STP Plus) offers University of Dundee students the opportunity to undertake an enhanced placement in a classroom setting.
Participation involves completing a minimum of thirty hours (over an 8-10 week period) on placement, undertaking a study into an aspect of school life and presenting your findings of completion of the placement.
Your Dundee Plus is a personal skills development programme which recognises and adds value to the activities you engage with outside your degree. The programme helps you to reflect upon the skills you are developing, communicate your achievements, and investigate your desired career pathway.
