Do you have an interest in business? If so why not take part in the Business Plus Programme?
You don’t have to be undertaking a business related degree.
The purpose of the programme is to help you develop and communicate the following business related skills;
- Business Communication
- Problem Solving
- Collaborative Working
- Commercial Awareness
- Digital Literacy
- Enterprise & Entrepreneurship
Participation in an approved Business Game (at least one business game will be delivered in each semester of this academic year) or the Enterprise Challenge or Finalist of Venture Competition (delivered by the Centre for Entrepreneurship at the University of Dundee).
Completion of a 30 hour placement or job. This can include an existing role that you are already undertaking but cannot include a placement which contributes towards academic credit such as an Internship Module or Business Internship Module placement.
All Business Plus Participants must attend a minimum of 2 events from any of the following;
- Employer Presentations or Skills Development Sessions
- Centre for Entrepreneurship Masterclasses
Having completed these activities, applicants should then reflect on the skills that they have developed through participation in the Business Plus Programme and attend a short workshop before completing an application for the Business Plus Award.
Business Plus is open to all matriculated students from the University of Dundee regardless of subject studied.
By participating in Business Plus, you will:
- Develop your awareness of skills required in a business role.
- Get the opportunity to develop and also communicate those skills.
- Become more confident with the awareness of how you have developed.
