Sue Wood is Head of Collections for the Woodhorn Trust, a charity that manages the archives and museums of Northumberland County Council. Previously she was Senior Archivist (1997-2006), Archivist-in-Charge (1989-1997) and Assistant Archivist (1985-1989) with Northumberland County Council. She has extensive teaching experience having been a tutor in Family and Community History with the Open University between 1992-1995; teaching family and local history for various Local Authorities since 1985; teaching family and local history for the Centre for Lifelong Learning at Newcastle University and Sunderland University since 1989; and teaching family, property and local history at Higham Hall, Bassenthwaite, Cumbria since 1995.
