Melinda Haunton is Programme Manager for Archive Service Accreditation at The National Archives, working with the UK Accreditation Partners to deliver a national standards programme. Previously, Melinda held a number of posts at The National Archives and its predecessor the Historical Manuscripts Commission including Senior Collections Information Advisor, and Programmes Manager for a range of national projects including developing two Skills for the Future projects (Opening Up Archives and Bridging the Digital Gap), Secretary to the UK Archives Discovery Forum, manager of the cataloguing grants programme, and regional liaison officer for London and the South East. Before this, Melinda completed a PhD in interwar British politics at Royal Holloway, University of London, and undertook a number of lecturing posts. Melinda is a member of the ARA Volunteering in Archives Sub-Committee, the ARA Registration Scheme, and the ARA CPD Development Group. She is a Registered member of the Archives and Records Association.
