Business Staff Successful at Recent Teaching Awards

Congratulations to Business Staff who were nominated or won awards recently at The School of Social Sciences Teaching and Good Practice Awards.  Dr Renzo Cordina (Accounting & Finance) won the award for Early Career Lecturer and Professor David Power (Accounting & Finance) won the QA (Quite Amazing) Award.  Dr Omar Feraboli was nominated for the QA award and received a highly commended certificate. Student takes on new role with ice hockey team

A current University of Dundee student will combine his studies with a new job at a local ice hockey team. Elliot Shaw, a second year Business Management student, will take up the post of Commercial Manager at the Dundee Stars for next season. He’s familiar with the team having completed a placement with the club as part of his course. New ice hockey scholarship student makes it a trio from Canada

The University of Dundee has announced its new Dundee Stars ice hockey scholarship student. Justin Faryna from Alberta, Canada will start at the School of Business next semester to complete a fully funded place on the MSc Management programme.  He was named player of the year for the Dundee Stars this season, and was also their top scorer. Justin will be added to a trio of Canadian players who have been sponsored by the University, with this season’s player Lou Dickenson from Ontario and 2014/15’s player Marc Cheverie from Nova Scotia. School of Business Student wins Best Paper Awards

Francesca Sobande, a second year PhD student in Marketing and Consumer Culture recently presented a research paper at the 3rd International Celebrity Studies Conference at the University of Amsterdam.
