We are delighted to offer our students the opportunity to undertake internships in China, Vietnam, Mexico and the UK (specifically Manchester).
These internships are open to students enrolled on the following business masters programmes (and all their various pathways):
- MSc Management
- MSc International Business
- MSc Banking and Finance
- MFin International Finance
- MSc International Marketing
- MSc Islamic Finance
Our Masters programme's place great importance on ‘team building’ and understanding the role that international and domestic cultural variation plays in the workings of firms and how this impacts on product and employment markets.
What is the internship? What can you expect to get out of it?
We are offering the opportunity to undertake an 8-week internship matched in your chosen industry in China, Mexico, Vietnam or Manchester (UK) in collaboration with Pagoda Projects, who have a proven track record in delivering these internships.
You will be given support before you travel and can join the community of other internship holders through dedicated Skype contacts and Facebook Groups. You will be provided with an English speaking tutor during your time in country who will provide ongoing support and provide you with 24-hour emergency contact and help should you need it.

How do I apply?
You apply towards the end of the first semester of your programme. Internships are awarded on merit based on your academic performance on the MSc programme, a short personal statement and possibly an interview.
Internships are offered to around 25% of the students studying on the above degrees. Each year, this offers in the region of 75+ students the chance to experience a global internship.
I worked in the international practice department of the law firm, it was very good, challenging work and I learned a lot from it. They never expected something I couldn’t provide but it always made me push myself further. The experience has helped me so much because soon I will have to start applying for similar things in UK and this will definitely put me above the others with my application.
