Botanic Garden Curator Alasdair Hood retires after 20 years
The curator in charge of the University of Dundee Botanic Garden is hanging up his hat and gloves after a two-decade career. Following a career at Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE), University of Durham and Elmwood College, Alasdair joined the Garden in 1998 and has made a tremendous contribution. He played a pivotal role in promoting the Garden as a botanical resource, despite the University of Dundee closing the degrees in botany in 2001.
