Maximise your career opportunities
We’re the only university in Scotland to combine Architecture & Urban Planning to maximise your career opportunities
We’re the only university in Scotland to combine Architecture & Urban Planning together to offer you unique hybrid qualifications and open up many career opportunities.
A distinctive location
Dundee, a UNESCO as City of Design, occupies a distinctive location – on the banks of the River Tay and surrounded by many rural communities. These unique qualities coupled with the city’s post-industrial and disfigured marine edged landscapes provide you with the perfect platform to engage with local issues and translate them onto a global scale.
There’s no better way to learn about the built environment than by being in it. That’s why we take you on site and study visits as much as possible during your studies – so that you can experience, in person, real places and spaces, and world-class architecture. Our visits vary from year to year but always include day trips within Scotland and often opportunities for longer overseas trips to architectural sites and major European cities.
Recently our students have visited Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, Copenhagen and Porto.
The university carefully mixes an understanding of localism with an international context and this has helped develop my career. These links and opportunities are fundamental to success not just in your first job after graduation but every single day after that.
