What's already here, and what you need to bring

Have a look through our suggestions for what to bring with you, what you aren't allowed, and what you can get once you're here. Dundee has lots of supermarkets and department stores so if you forget anything you'll always be able to get it here.

What's already here

  • Kettle
  • Microwave
  • Iron / ironing board
  • Vacuum Cleaner
  • Mop/Bucket
  • Recycling, refuse and wastepaper baskets

For more details on what's in your room, check the individual page for your accommodation offer

Please DO NOT bring

  • Portable Heaters (our flats are centrally heated)
  • Candles
  • Furniture
  • Too much food or a full set of plates- if everyone arrives with a lot things, you'll struggle to fit it all in!

Bring with You

  •  TV licence
  • Warm clothes
  • Pots and pans
  • Clothes Airer/Drying rack
  • Extension Leads
  • Coat hangers
  • Special things that make you feel at home
  • Bedding- You could also buy this in a supermarket, or order one from Sanctuary Students before you arrive. Not sure what size your bed is? Check your accommodation offer, and the comparison page for more information.

The law is changing. From 1 September 2016 you will need to be covered by a TV Licence to download or watch BBC programmes on demand, including catch up TV, on BBC iPlayer. This applies to any device and provider you use.

For further details please see the TV Licencing website.

A limited cleaning service exists for shared stairwells and landing. It's you and your flatmates' responsibility to keep the kitchen and living room clean.
