A crucial step in improving assessment and feedback practices is to engage with the student experience.
Indications are that students can struggle to either understand and apply feedback, or to identify non-written feedback. The Assessment and Feedback Hub works in partnership with the DUSA Executive to understand the student experience of assessment and feedback and to identify good practice in this area. For the 2019/20 academic year, the DUSA Executive focus is on Feedback and the role of Advisor of Studies.
In conjunction with the Student-Led Teaching Awards (SLTAs), the DUSA Executive is creating a resource for staff outlining the practices students find most beneficial in these areas. The resource will be a My Dundee organization which will include podcasts from past winners of the SLTAs and anonymised student responses.
