Athena SWAN is not just for staff! The University of Dundee is committed to supporting students at all levels and in all subjects. Below are some student resources.
What is Athena SWAN
Athena SWAN is a national network created by the Equality Challenge Unit in 2005 to encourage and recognise commitment to address gender equality in higher education and research.
At the University of Dundee we will support you to reach your full potential. Our Student Community page holds a wealth of information for various groups of students.
Interconnect is a network for women studying science, engineering, technology and the built environment across Scotland.
They run a minimum of 8 interconnect events each year, designed to bring together students with qualified women and employers.
Interconnect can help you find an internship, make career connections and support you throughout your studies. To find out more visit the EQUATE Scotland website or get in touch with our Interconnect Champion.
Interconnect Champion - Michaela Omelkova
Michaela Omelkova, Interconnect Champion
My name is Michaela Omelkova and I am the new Interconnect champion at the University of Dundee for 2015/16. I am a third year biomedical sciences student at the School of Life Sciences.
In my new role I will do my best to be your support and a link between you and the Interconnect network. We will organize interesting talks, events and much more! I will ensure you have all the information needed to start networking with other women in science and I will be there for you if you have any problems.
Please feel free to contact me (firstname.lastname@example.org), should you want to get involved or discuss anything.
