Applying for the Programme

This programme is designed for qualified doctors who have not achieved consultant status. Please check the eligibility criteria before you apply.

The same instructions and deadlines pertain to both the Dundee Cancer Centre PhD Programme for Clinicians and the Wellcome Trust PhD programme for Clinicians.  Please indicate which programme you are applying to on your application form.  Only one application is necessary if you are applying to both programmes.

How to apply

Please submit the following:

• A completed application form (.doc, 392kb), including the names and contact details of three referees
• A curriculum vitae
• Personal statement, including a summary of research interests and career goals (this should be no more than 1000 words)
• Three potential areas of research interest

In your personal statement, please describe your medium and long term aspirations, including general and specific achievements. Be as wide-ranging as you wish - we are interested in finding out what has motivated you to apply and why committing to your career development is likely to be an excellent investment.
