- Lake Peipsi/Chudskoe, Estonia and Russia, which is part of the biggest transboundary lake in Europe. This basin comprises more than half of the 2003 report Management of transboundary waters on EU external border in northern Europe published by UNDP and partners. About the IHP-HELP Centre and HELP:

Upper Danube - Dundee Centre Linkages:
- Dr. Daniela Jacob, Max-Planck-Institute for Meteorology provides regional climate modeling to the Glowa Danube project and is also works on the ACQWA project.
- Prof. Dr. Wolfram Mauser Department of Geography LMU Munich, the Co-ordinator of the Glowa Danube project developed the Danubia hydrological modeling system for the Danube basin - this system was subsequently applied for river with study basins in the upper Brahmaputra river as part of the BRAHMATWINN project.
