The Centre for Water Law, Policy and Science is uniquely qualified to provide advisory services in international and national water law, policy and science. It has consistently applied an interdisciplinary approach to identifying and responding to water resources management issues and has been instrumental in making law an integral part of this process.
The Centre has created a worldwide interdisciplinary network of experts, including its core staff, Global Faculty and Governing Board, who can assist in providing an unparalleled breadth of expertise to clients with respect to a wide range of issues.
The broad geographical scope of the Centre’s interdisciplinary research and other activities reflects the ubiquitous nature of water-related issues to which the Centre can provide input. The Centre has substantial experience in the design and implementation of international and national water law legal and institutional frameworks, instruments and programmes throughout the world. A key objective of the Centre’s international activities has been to enhance local human and institutional capacity. The Centre also acts as the Regional Coordinating Unit for the 20+ basins under the European UNESCO/World Meteorological Organisation’s HELP (Hydrology for Environment, Life and Policy) programme.
