Co-operative Funeralcare is working closely with UNISON to support members in their times of need. As a member of UNISON you can get advice over the phone or you could just ask for our booklet 'Your guide to funeral care' which answers all the questions you need to know when dealing with a funeral, whether you are arranging a funeral now or simply want to understand what you will need to do when the occasion arises in the future.

UNISON Plus internet services

UNISON Plus - Why pay for your internet connection - or support the big media companies? Get online with UNISON! Our current internet service, unisonfree.net, has been replaced by UNISON Plus. The new service offers you enhanced options for net access, including UNISON Plus Free (pay-as-you-go, no-contract internet access for light users, just like unisonfree.net), UNISON Plus Anytime (flat-rate dial-up access for £14.99 a month) and UNISON Plus Broadband (a brand new always-on, super-fast, broadband service with the first month's access free).

You can apply online for your UNISON credit card, issued by Bank of Scotland. Choose the product that suits your own financial needs and benefit from a MasterCard that has been negotiated on your behalf using the strength of all our members.

Personal Taxation Services

Personal Taxation Services provide a 'no refund, no fee' service and will check that you are paying the correct rate of tax. If you are due a tax refund they will complete all the necessary paperwork for the Inland Revenue on your behalf. For this service they will charge 40 per cent of any refund received as their fee, you keep all future savings, there are no other fees and if you are not due a refund there is no charge. If you have received a self-assessment tax return PTS can also provide a comprehensive tax return service for a fixed fee.

Premier Purchase Card

Premier Purchase Card is a service allowing all UNISON members to obtain exclusive discounts on a vast range of goods and services throughout the UK and Ireland. By accessing the UNISON Discount Shopping website (or by calling freephone 0800 587 8800), members can find a supplier offering exclusive discounts on anything they wish to buy. In the unlikely event that no supplier is listed, Premier will even find a new supplier and negotiate a discount especially for you. You'll find discounts of up to 30% and more with names such as Burton Menswear, Megabowl and Dominos Pizzas. For the majority of offers you can learn about through the website all you need to do is show your UNISON membership card at the till and you will get the discounts. Medicash

Medicash - The UNISON-endorsed plan not only pays you cash when you are ill, but also meets the aims and values of UNISON and supports the NHS. It is a not-for-profit organisation that pays back over 80 per cent of contributory income every year to members in cash benefits.
