Post-Application Visits / Applicant Visits

All applicants receiving an offer of admission will have an opportunity of visiting the university before replying to their offers. (Please note, this does not apply to courses conducting interviews as part of the selection process).

We will send you an email invitation to our Post-Application Visits. Pre-booking, as instructed on the invitation, is essential.

These visits, taking place between February and April, differ from the Autumn, Pre-Application, Open Days and go into greater detail about the course and aspects of student life. An integrated parents/guardians programme is also included in many of the visits. You will not be exposed to an 'interview' type session at these visits - this is your opportunity to 'grill' us! We also have some visits on Saturdays to give parents the chance to accompany their child.

If you are unable to visit on any of the organised Visit Days, individual visits are also available.

General Information

A Campus Map points out the departments that are located on the city campus, with the exception of the clinical medical departments based at Ninewells Hospital and Medical School and the School of Nursing based at Ninewells Hospital and the Kirkcaldy Campus.

The General Map clearly indicates the location of the campus within the city. The city of Dundee is accessible by road and rail networks.

Our list of local hotels, guest houses and B&Bs provides details of some nearby overnight accommodation.

Other useful dates that pertain to Dundee City and Dundee University could be taken into account when considering visiting Dundee.
