The University of Dundee works closely with many schools and colleges and has created resources for staff designed to promote higher education to secondary school and college students.
We provide information and advice to those wanting to know more about the University of Dundee or Scottish Higher Education in general. Our team of experienced Liaison Officers are very happy to visit your school or college and deliver a range of engaging presentations to your students. Our Liaison Officers are an integral part of the admissions process at Dundee and are therefore excellently placed to advise students on their UCAS application and the Personal Statement in particular.

- The University of Dundee (courses, accommodation, sports facilities, social life, students' association, library and computing facilities, etc.)
- Discovering Degrees Workshops – university taster sessions for S2/3 pupils
- Workshops on what it is like to be a University student, what you can study and why go to University
- DUAL Summer School and Discover Learning at Dundee
- Targeted workshops for particular professions e.g. medicine, dentistry and nursing
- Student Shadowing (for FE Colleges only)
- Routes from FE into HE
- Transitional Skills from FE into HE
We can also:
- Provide initial information to help school students with course choice(s) from S2 onwards, and advise on entry requirements, finance and welfare issues. A range of printed publications, including the Undergraduate Prospectus and our Guide from Application to Arrival is available throughout the year (visit our Downloadable Publications webpage).
- Meet you at the national/regional higher education careers conventions/fairs. We attend many events in schools/colleges as well as larger events, including the UK Higher Education conventions organised by UCAS and also European fairs. Come along to our stand and speak to our representative. Please contact us on recruitment@dundee.ac.uk to find out if we are in your local area.
- Organise visit days and individual visits to enable you to see the University's campus and departments, as an individual or as a school/college group.
- Meet student ambassadors to give staff and students the "student perspective".
- Help you through the application process including Extra/Clearing for late applications or missed conditions.
