Trent is among the few universities worldwide built on the 'College' system; smaller units of living and learning, each with its own history, tradition and character, that form the university as a whole. All of Trent's residences are co-ed, with sections for specific preferences within them based on number of requests. Examples of these sections are: all female; all male; all upper year; alcohol free; and quiet section.
Lady Eaton College, Champlain College and Otonabee College each have a small number of apartments as part of their residence space. Although each apartment is unique, they all have a kitchenette, bathroom and common living space shared by the apartment's occupants. Students can request a single or a double room within the apartment. Generally there are between 2-4 people sharing an apartment.
More information on the housing options available can be found on the Trent University housing webpage.
