Australasia Student Exchange: Outgoing Students

Would you like to spend a semester or full academic year in Australia, New Zealand or Hong Kong? The Australasia Exchange Programme (ASE) will not only allow you to experience another culture, it can also make you “stand out from the crowd” in today’s competitive job market by adding value to your CV.

Am I eligible?

The ASE is open to students for one semester or the full session of their 2nd or 3rd year.
Students currently in any of the following degree courses are eligible to apply for the ASE programme:

This exchange programme is not available to students on the following degree courses:

How does the exchange fit in with my Dundee University degree programme?

Spending time on an exchange at one of our partner universities is intended to be a progression of your academic career not “time out” or a gap period.

On successful completion of your modules/programme of study at the partner institution the credits you receive will be transferred back to your Dundee.

Each School has an Academic Exchange Co-ordinator who will advise you on your choice of modules at the partner so that they are relevant to the requirements of your Dundee degree programme. You cannot take modules that have not been approved by your Academic Exchange Co-ordinator as this may have an adverse affect on your progression when you return to Dundee.

How much will it cost?

You will retain entitlement to student grants, loans and bursaries while you are on exchange. You are responsible for your own travel, accommodation and living costs. Please note you will also need to obtain a visa and travel and health insurance which are additional costs. So you need to think carefully about your budget!

Where can I study?

For undergraduate Environment students only
