Students of any nationality who are studying in Scotland and are 25 or under can apply for the Young Scot National Entitlement Card (NEC). This card entitles you to a range of discounts from a variety of shops, transport and businesses throughout Scotland and even throughout Europe. Most Young Scot Cards are also marked with the PASS symbol so can be used as proof of age and identity.
You can obtain a Young Scot Card by phoning their information line on 0808 801 0338 (Mon-Fri, 10am-6pm). Young Scot are also actively participating in the Money Doctors project.
ISIC Cards are internationally recognised student cards which offer discounts at home and abroad.
For local bus travel, Travel Dundee and Stagecoach offer special student rates.
If you travel frequently by train, a 16-25 Railcard might save you money. This is available to all full-time students - even if you're over 25.
