Most high street banks and building societies offer a special student account. A student account usually provides you with an interest-free overdraft facility for the duration of your course.
Students with previous credit problems and international students may not be able to open a student account. However, everyone has the right to open a basic bank account regardless of their credit history.
Our advice:Postgraduates may find that commercial credit (e.g. a Professional and Career Development Loan) is an option to fund their course.
