Photo Competition 2011/2

We're looking for photos of University life and of our campus that we can share with prospective students. Think about images which we can use in the printed University prospectus, and on University webpages.

We've been really impressed with the entries during semesters 1 & 2. Some of the images have already been used in our publicity materials, including our website, christmas card, internal communications and the new prospectus.

We add the entries each week to an album on Facebook so that everyone can see them.

University staff act as judges and will pick a winner each week, and at the end of each semester we will ask you to vote on the weekly winners to pick an overall winner. Prizes include a 2GB pen drive for the weekly winner, and £50 for the overall winner.

Themes and entry dates

Each week has a different theme:

  1. Spring enter from 26 April - 2 May Facebook Album
  2. Modern Campus - enter from 3 - 9 May Facebook Album
  3. My weekend - what did you get up to? - enter from 10 - 16 May
  4. Technology - how are you using technology as part of your course? - enter from 17 - 23 May
  5. Volunteering - show us your vacation projects or weekly activities - enter from 24 - 30 May
  6. DJCAD Degree show - artists show us your work, others please only submit images of artwork with the permission of the artist - enter from 31 May -6 June
  7. Clubs / societies - games, activities, trips - enter from 7 - 13 June
  8. Diversity, multi-culturalism, international Dundee - enter from 14 - 20 June
  9. Graduation - friends, family, Caird Hall, parties, etc - enter from 21 -27 June
  10. Signs & sign posts - on campus, or showing the word "Dundee" - enter from 28 June - 4 July
  11. Just having fun - enter from 5 - 11 July
  12. Me & my hoodie - where have you taken your UoD branded hoodie this summer? - enter from 12 - 18 July
  13. Research at Dundee - your lab, your studio, summer projects, etc - enter from 19 - 25 July
  14. This year - one image to sum up your year at Dundee - enter from 26 July - 1 August
