Making an appointment with the Mental Health Nurse

Fiona Grant (RMN, BSc Hons) is a Senior Nurse in Mental Health, employed by the University but is governed by the same confidentiality standards as the NHS.
As well as clinical sessions Fiona is happy to listen to any concerns regarding mental health including worried about friends/students/staff and offers training sessions throughout the university.
Referrals to Fiona are usually from other medical personnel. If a referral is from department, colleagues, friends, self, a screening appointment is made with Dr Dymock first.
If you are unsure as to whether your needs are more likely to be met via the mental health nurse or the counselling service, please see Mental Health FAQ

Medical Secretary

Norma Smith is the secretary and is responsible for arranging appointments for both Dr Dymock and Fiona Grant.
Norma can help direct you to the best way to access treatment and has access to general information leaflets on a very varied range of diseases and health promotion topics.
