If on a low income, some help with costs can be obtained through the NHS Low Income Scheme (low income is described as less than £16,000 in savings, investments or property). The scheme will provide help for cost of:

HC1 form can be filled in before any treatment is required and will provide a certificate detailing what costs if any you will have to pay for.
HC5 form is to be used if you have already paid for treatment: you will need to be able to provide a receipt for the treatment.
