Project Costing - Project Registration Form (PRF)

RIS assists staff with the costing & pricing of research, service and institutional consultancy projects.

Using Full Economic Costing (fEC) costs are established which take into account: salary scales, employer's costs, direct and indirect costs, core resource use, VAT etc. For non-commercial grant applications the specific requirements of the funders are taken into account.

RIS also advises on the pricing of commercial projects taking into account the actual cost of undertaking the work.

Project Registration Form (PRF)

To obtain a costing researchers are required to fill out a Project Registration Form (PRF).

The PRF also gathers information needed by the University to meet its obligations under fEC as well as sector wide research governance demands.

The Project Registration form (PRF) is a spreadsheet document and should be opened using Microsoft Excel.

After completing the form it can be emailed to RIS as an attachment. (The form can also be printed and completed by hand).
