A Guidance Note in Relation to Equality and Diversity in the Curriculum

This resource has been compiled by Human Resources and Academic Affairs directorates to assist academic and support staff to interpret their duties in relation to developing and reviewing an inclusive curriculum. The contents are as follows:

1. Background information outlining the University's responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010.
2. A listing of University resources related to Equality and Diversity (officers, policies, academic development, support).
3. A listing of external web resources on Equality and Diversity (e.g. the Equality Act, HE Academy and other resources, the QAA Code of Practice [to be revised in this area]).
4. A guidance note in relation to the University's Equality and Diversity Checklist summarising potential considerations related to equality and diversity in the curriculum.
