Project Title: Language Processes and Degenerative Disorders

Funding: Royal Society of Edinburgh and Alzheimer's Research Trust

Further Information: I am working with Dr Siobhan MacAndrew (University of Abertay) on language in ageing and Parkinson's disease; aspects of this research are carried out with Dr Richard Roberts of Ninewells' Hospital, Dundee, and with the department of Speech Therapy, Tayside. I am also collaborating with Dr Arlene Astell (University of Abertay) on language in dementia. I am continuing my work on serial order in speech production with Professor Gordon Brown and Dr Janet Vousden of the University of Warwick (see paper in Cognitive Psychology, 2000). Internationally, we are working with Dr Nadine Martin (Temple University Medical School, Philadelphia, USA) on
language processes and degenerative disorders.
