Dundee experts on 'Crimewatch' - tonight

Professor Sue Black and Miss Lucina Hackman from the Centre for Anatomy and Human Identification at the University of Dundee will feature in tonight's edition of the BBC's 'Crimewatch' programme, detailing the forensics work they did in the case of the 'jigsaw murder'.

The Dundee researchers provided vital forensic evidence in the trial of Stephen Marshall and his girlfriend Sarah Bush. Marshall was jailed for a minimum of 36 years for the murder of Jeffrey Howe and scattering his body parts across two counties in England. Bush was jailed for three years and nine months for perverting the course of justice.

Professor Black and Miss Hackman's work revealed that cut marks on the body parts of Mr Howe showed he had been dismembered by someone with considerable skill and knowledge of anatomy.

Crimewatch is one BBC1 at 9pm tonight.
