Programme Content

The programme consists of two core modules and three specialist themes module options. The two core modules are each rated at Level M, 30 SCOTCAT points. The core modules are followed by a further three modules, each rated at 20 SCOTCAT points. The core module topics cover development of professional practice through the scholarship of nursing, evidence-based practice and research, via the completion of a research proposal.

The final part of the programme is a dissertation worth 600 credits for those who wish to complete the Masters qualification.

Methods of Assessment

Your work is assessed continuously on a modular basis. Assessment methods and strategies are designed to develop and evaluate the theory and practice of nursing.
