Overview
This module explores the role of Practice Facilitator by dividing the module into five units;
- Unit One; Role development within Practice Teaching
- Unit Two; Personal philosophy of learning and teaching
- Unit Three; Assessment and maintenance of Competence
- Unit Four; Change management at an organisational level
- Unit Five; Further Pedagogical approaches to facilitating learning
Aims of the Module
- To encourage exploration of the concepts of ‘Practice Leadership' and ‘Practice Development'.
- To support development of critical appraisal skills with respect to Interdisciplinary / Multiprofessional Learning.
To promote critical appraisal of the developmental role of the Practice Facilitator at the interface of Higher Education and clinical practice.-
Teaching & Assessment
This module is taught by a mixture of face to face & E-learning through MyDundee (the University virtual learning environment). Anyone with access to the internet and basic IT skills will be able to use MyDundee .
Portfolio of Evidence. (4,500 words).
Entry Requirements
Prior to undertaking this module students must be educated to degree level or equivalent. They must also have access to a computer and internet (preferably broadband) and have basic IT skills.
English Language Requirement: IELTS of 6.0 (or equivalent), if your first language is not English.
