Aims of the Programme

To allow students to take modules in advanced aspects of accounting or finance.

Programme Content

This programme involves seven months of taught modules including Research Methods, Quantitative Methods, Contemporary Accounting Issues and Corporate Governance. These modules are designed to give students the platform to progress from a diploma to a masters via a dissertation. Overall, this programme is designed for students who have an undergraduate degree in Accounting and/or Finance but who want to study the subject in greater depth. The programme is also suitable for those who wish to proceed to a PhD in accounting and finance. The programme does not offer exemptions from professional accounting examinations.

By assessed coursework, examination and dissertation.

Entry Requirements

A relevant undergraduate degree or a relevant professional qualification.

English Language Requirement: IELTS of 6.5 (or equivalent), if your first language is not English. Please check our Language Requirements page for details of equivalent grades from other test providers, and information about the University of Dundee English Language courses.
