I have been fortunate enough throughout my career to have worked at Universities and with professionals in a business context in a variety of cultures in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, which I feel has contributed to my understanding of the diversity of international students we receive here at Dundee, where I have been working since 2003.
After experiencing life as an international student in Québec, I taught English in Japan and Denmark. I have been teaching at UK universities since 1993, and at Dundee since 2001. I have Masters degrees in English Literature and English Language Teaching. I consider myself fortunate to have lived in cultures different from my own, but I particularly enjoy teaching English Language courses in the UK because of the dynamic and energising combinations of students from widely varying backgrounds.
