Undergraduate Studies

The Politics programme at the University of Dundee aims to make studying for a degree with us a fulfilling and enjoyable experience for all our students.

We are small enough that you will soon get to know us, and our students tell us that we are amongst the most approachable and friendly staff in the University. We are always happy to hear that but you can also be sure that our teaching, and the research we carry out (resulting in lots of books, articles and reports every year) is highly rated too. The Politcs programme received a ranking of 4 in the most recent Research Assessment Exercise, placing us amongst the highest of our size so regarded in the UK.

Furthermore, the 2008 National Student Survey ranked Dundee Politics No.1 in the UK for student satisfaction in our subject area.

Our current programme is based around four main degree pathways:

Single Honours

Joint Honours

You can also choose a degree that combines Politics with American Studies, or with Business Economics and Marketing, to name but two examples. Equally, you can combine International Relations with European Studies, or with History, for example. To see the full range of Politics degree options take a look at the Politics section in the undergraduate prospectus. This also shows you the typical offer points you'll need for entry as well as a summary of typical programme content. To get a real flavour why not have a look at what our current undergraduates are studying this year? We hope it makes you want to come and study with us. We'd be happy to have you here.
