Alan Dobson Contributes to TV Documentary

Alan Dobson took part in filming for a documentary for Channel 5 and the History Channel on Tuesday 14 June.

The documentary examines the United States War Plan Red which was up-dated as late as 1935 and laid down contingency planning for a war with Britain and its empire. Among other things it envisaged the possibility of a huge invasion force being projected by Britain across the Atlantic and a US invasion of Canada to prevent the landing of British forces.

How all this came about and the likelihood of war between the two countries are debated and considered at length in the programme scheduled for broadcast in August 2011.
