Dr. Richard Dunphy has been invited to give a paper on democracy and membership participation in policy-making in political parties at a workshop organised by the Vasemmistofoorumi Foundation in Helsinki, Finland.
Professor Alan Dobson has been invited to give a paper on Anglo-American relations at a one-day symposium hosted by the George Bush School of Government at Texas A&M University and at Baylor University Texas. Professor Dobson held a visiting scholar at Baylor University Texas at the McBride Centre for International Business Studies in 2008.
May 2011
Dr. Richard Dunphy has been invited to give a paper on left parties' participation in coalition governments at a seminar organised by the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung in Berlin.
Dr. Richard Dunphy has also been invited to give papers on the transnational party federation, the European Left Party, at conferences organised by the PSA at Birkbeck College, London on 26 May 2011, and by Maastricht University Politics team in Maastricht.
June 2011
Professor Alan Dobson has been invited to give a paper on aspects of Anglo-American economic relations and anti-Americanism at a conference hosted by the Joint Services Command and Staff College at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom. The paper will be published by the United States Army Strategic Studies Institute, Carlisle Barracks Pennsylvania.
