Dr. Angela Bourne has been invited to spend a semester as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Seville, Department of Constitutional Law. She will conduct research into the illegalisation of the radical Basque separatist party, Batasuna and its successors, for a book on Pluralism, Tolerance and the Proscription of Political parties.
October 2010
Professor Alan Dobson has been invited to give a paper on contemporary airline regimes at Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals. The workshop is funded by the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies at the European University Institute.
December 2010
Dr. Angela Bourne has been invited to give a paper at the Department of Constitutional Law, University of Jaen (Spain), titled ‘Defending Democracy? Proscription of Political Parties in Europe’.
Dr. Angela Bourne has also been invited to give a paper at the Department of Constitutional Law, University of Seville, on ‘Explaining the Proscription of Political Parties in Europe: 1945-2010’.
