Research

My research interests are in aspects of spatial planning and governance and the changing nature of institutional and community relationships at the urban and regional levels. Recent research activities have involved work on the governance of homeless information systems in a European context; understanding community resilience in the context of shifting relationships between the built and natural environments; the integration of strategic environmental assessment and plan-making in Scotland; and the impact of environmental governance on the delivery of local climate change action plans.
