The MA Honours degree in Town and Regional Planning is accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute. This under-graduate degree brings together academic scholarship with professional competencies, and draws on the applied research carried out in the department.
Town and Regional Planning also offers joint degrees in Geography and Planning and Spatial Economics and Development. These joint degrees are provided with other departments in the School of the Environment .
In 2007 a new MA Honours Degree in Environmental Sustainability was launched. It combines the strengths of two established degree programmes, Environmental Management and Environmental Science, into one programme designed to give students the management and administrative skills together with the scientific and technical knowledge required to deliver a more sustainable environment. This new degree is fully accredited at associate level by the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.
