RAE 2008 - An excellent result for Town and Regional Planning

We are delighted at the outcome of the Research Assessment Exercise 2008 which was announced on 18th December. The results for Geography and Environmental Studies at Dundee, which incorporated research from Town and Regional Planning, show that 60% of the research activity undertaken between 2001 and 2007 was rated as internationally outstanding or excellent (RAE 3* and 4*). Geography and Environmental Studies was ranked first equal in Scotland with the University of St Andrews. This result reflects the excellent work being carried out by academics in the discipline.
